The Wolves shutout the Xpress 5-0

The Lansing Wolves' offense had a big night, peppering the Southern Tier Xpress with 52 shots throughout the game, to go along with Will Ignatovich's shutout. The Lansing Wolves took the lead early in the first on a goal from Mike Forman and never looked back.

Mike Forman contributed with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Brendan Smith chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the first period, Forman opened the scoring for the Wolves with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:04 with a helper from his teammate Smith.

During the second, Forman netted a goal at 15:06 with a helper from his linemate Smith. Smith deposited a goal at 19:43 with an assist from Forman.

In the third, Ashley put in a goal at 0:49 with a helper from Weyh. Pipper scored a goal at 7:22 with an assist from Sill.

The Wolves’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Ignatovich’s shutout, as he stopped all 23 of the shots he faced. Ignatovich’s counterpart, Pascarella, also had a big night, managing to stop 47 of 52, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Lansing Wolves’ record to (20-14-1-2).
