Mike Forman chipped in with 2 goals and Brendan Smith contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the first period, Forman opened the scoring for Lansing with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:41 with a helper from his teammate Smith. Pipper netted a goal at 12:43 with an assist from defenseman Stensland.
In the second, Forman deposited a goal at 13:17 with helpers from Schramm and Stensland.
During the third, Smith put in a goal at 6:56 with an assist from defenseman Redman.
The Wolves’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Finstrom’s shutout, as he stopped all 26 of the shots he faced. Finstrom’s counterpart, Pascarella, also had a big night, managing to stop 41 of 45, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Lansing Wolves’ record to (19-14-1-2).
