During the first, Zenone opened the scoring for Wooster with a goal at 5:21 with helpers from his teammates Stanko and Felton. Corso answered for West Michigan with a goal at 8:31 with helpers from Lake and Michalowski. Demidov put in a goal at 14:28 with assists from Rewerts and Bloomfield. Zenone quickly followed with a goal at 15:12 with helpers from Stanko and Mooney.
During the second, Mooney netted a goal at 5:42 with assists from his linemates, Zenone and Kallay.
In the third period, Michalowski answered for the Wolves with a goal at 1:42 with helpers from Weaver and Ross. Demidov scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:29 with assists from his linemates, Ulmer and Bloomfield. Ulmer deposited a goal at 19:42 with helpers from Rewerts and Bloomfield.
West Michigan’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Thomas as he stopped 23 of the 26 shots he faced. Thomas’ counterpart, Furber, also had a big night, managing to stop 30 of 34, but ultimately fell short.
