Sean Finstrom came up big, stopping 29 of 30 shots throughout the game. The Lansing Wolves took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Brendan Smith.
Brendan Smith had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 goals and Garrison Weyh delivered for his team with 2 assists.
During the first, Cinato opened the scoring for Metro with a goal at 12:26 with helpers from teammates Martinez and Trapiss.
In the second, Smith answered for Lansing with a goal at 2:54 with assists from his linemates, Weyh and Forman. Smith put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:29 with helpers from his linemates, Weyh and Forman.
The Wolves’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Finstrom’s big night as he stopped 29 of the 30 shots he faced. Finstrom’s counterpart, Kormos, also had a big night, managing to stop 31 of 33, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Lansing Wolves’ record to (11-11-1-2).
