During the second, Smith opened the scoring for Lansing with a goal at 6:37 with helpers from teammates Redman and Diver.
In the third, Schramm deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 8:09 with assists from Smith and Jurinenoks. Williams finally put the Cherokee on the board with a goal at 18:32 with helpers from his linemates, Cummings and Perry. Weyh quickly followed with a goal at 19:40 with assists from his linemates, Pipper and Smith.
The Wolves’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Finstrom as he stopped 16 of the 17 shots he faced. Finstrom’s counterpart, Gonzalez, also had a big night, managing to stop 56 of 58, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Lansing Wolves’ record to (10-11-1-2).
