During the first period, Servidio opened the scoring for Pittsburgh with a goal at 13:47 with a helper from defenseman Zimmerman.
In the second, Smith answered for Lansing with a goal at 2:48 with helpers from Redman and Forman. Deratany deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:28 with an assist from defenseman Diver.
In the third period, Weyh netted a goal at 17:54 with assists from his teammates Smith and Weaver. Diver quickly followed with a goal at 19:01 with helpers from Deratany and Redman.
Lansing’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Finstrom’s big night as he stopped 31 of the 32 shots he faced. Finstrom’s counterpart, De Simone, also had a big night, managing to stop 30 of 33, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Lansing Wolves’ record to (21-14-1-2).
