Lansing Wolves vs Southern Tier Xpress Game Weekend Recap (11/21/17)

LANSING WOLVES WEEKEND RECAP: NOV 17th & 18th

Wolves go 3 for 4 on weekend-

The Lansing Wolves gained 3 of 4 points in this past weekends set with the Southern Tier Xpress by winning the 1st match by a count of 7-3 on Friday night leading the charge was a stellar effort from Saginaw’s┬áBrandan Ashley as he put up 2 goals and adding 2 assists. Helping the cause was linemate Macomb’s Jake Deratany as he potted 2 goals and added an assist to the assault. Also contributing goals were Clio’s Brenda Smith, Clarkstons’ Mac Diver and rounding out the outing was scoring his 1st as a Wolf, Swartz Creek’s Chris Seelye. Adding his normal helping hand was Marshall’s Jake Redman chipping in with 2 assists. Will Ignatiovich stopped 21 shots in the win.

Saturday was a different tail as the Xpress scored a 3-2 Shootout win against the Wolves. The scoring was lead by that man Redman as he netted a power play goal. Adding a timely contribution was Diver with Ashley and Deratany adding assists. Drake Deering stopped 22 shots in goal.

This Thankgiving weekend features these same Xpress in the rematch on Saturday @ 7:30pm and a rare Sunday matinee @ 12:30pm against the crew from Jamestown New York.
